I grew up in Oregon, going to school I spent some time shooting film on a 35mm camera, the best prints happen by chance, are unexpected and surprise us! this type of art form happens all around us, all the time, the trick is capturing it.
I have an old Canon Elan 2, 35mm SLR, canon lense is 28-80mm non-macro. Kept since high school, I had to pull the strap away from the body, the metal clasps started eating the camera body during storage, my camera was eating away at itself! I cleaned it off to reveal small craters in the surface of the camera body, weird huh? totally unexpected.
My canon now has an imperfection, at first annoyed me, but I have accepted it, and I am keeping this old film camera.
To use my old canon, will require a fresh battery, 35mm film and a process for scanning images here so you can enjoy them, it is a back burner project at the moment.
I am on the road a lot, my work requires me to travel, so my photos are conveniently taken using the samsung galaxy s3 digital camera.
